What adults can learn from kids
Watch this awe inspiring video 13 year old Adora Svitak, is an amazing speaker and tell us adults a thing or two about how to teach. Adora reminds us of the wealth of creativity inherent in children and that teachers need to tap into this. She says the students should teach their teachers sometimes, not stand up the front and lecture them and that it should be more of a reciprocated relationship. Adora also comments on how we underestimate kids abilities. I’d have to agree I think some of the work we set them is far too easy. If I could inspire students to be half as articulate and fluid thinking in their ideas as Adora I’d feel like I was on the right track.
